Hello all,
My name is Christina Burroughs and I am from Upstate New
York (yes. Upstate, not Long Island). It seems as though everyone I have met
from New York assumes it’s the City or the Island but I actually grew up in a
rural town outside the City of Rochester, which is about an hour from Niagara
Falls! It’s quite a change from what I am used to moving from a town where
everyone knows each other to a huge city where very few faces are familiar, but
so far I love it. I decided on the University of Tampa for two reasons. The
first reason is that I am absolutely head over heals in love with Walt Disney
World. Ever since I was a little kid my family has visited Disney two to three
times per year and it has become a home away from home to me. From my love for
Disney I decided during my sophomore year of High school that I wanted to attend
College in Florida. After looking at all of the Universities and colleges in
Florida, I fell in love with the campus at the University of Tampa. I am
looking forward to learning all of the new techniques in this class as I am not
very strong with computers now, but I love the idea of learning more. I have
always dreamed of working for a large marketing firm and creating great
commercials, so hopefully the skills I learn in this class will aid me in my
journey to reach my dreams. There’s a little about me for now, just a small
town Disney praising girl who packed up her bags and headed to college.
